Quiet language learners stories: our stories

You can't be what you can't see.

Marian Wright Edelman

For all the quiet language learners who wished for their stories to be heard - welcome.

The stories I gather here show you that we're all different in how we learn.

That introverts, shy, highly sensitive and anxious people can learn a language as well as anyone else.

That there is a space for slow, mindful, creative language learning.

That our personalities shape the way we learn - and learning a language shapes our lives.

That language learning can be therapeutic, a form of self-care.

These stories are our stories.
